A little about the smiling face above:
When the local steel mill looked very likely
to close, and Tim figured that he would lose his job, benefits,
and retirement, he sprang into action. With a wife and 6
kids to support, he needed a second career!
Tim enrolled in the HVAC course at South Western Illinois
College. At the end of two years of working night shifts
at the steel mill and attending classes during the day,
he graduated at the top of his class with a 3.85 GPA and
was inducted into PhiTheta Kappa, the National Honor Society
for Junior Colleges. He continued his job at the mill while
building his HVAC business, mainly by word of mouth advertising,
until the mill closed in 2002. The mill's closing allowed
him to devote full time to the continued growth of his business.
With three trucks on the road and his office and warehouse
headquartered in Moro, Illinois, he is glad to be an EX-steelworker.
He still misses his co-workers, though.
